Flaco’s is an upscale Mexican restaurant that is fun & dependable when the craving says, “Mexican.” Everything is fresh, homemade and well presented. Start with warm chips and really fresh guacamole when you order your beer, wine or drinks. Over time, I think we’ve tried just about every appetizer, soup and salad and they’re all good. However, just be forewarned that the portion sizes here are generous so, leave room for the entrée.
The Mexican specialties are complete dinners priced from $10.25 to $18.95 and there are 20 Mexican combination platters priced from $10.95 to $12.25. Our most favorite entrée is the “Drunken Grouper” which is sautéed grouper fish and shrimp with olive oil, garlic, onions, fresh tomatoes, peppers, cilantro and a splash of tequila. In addition to the extensive menu, they offer a vegetarian menu and a children’s menu.
If you time it right, everyone in the dining room will be entertained and serenaded by wandering musicians. Go there – good food and reasonable prices.
