This question comes up frequently around the holidays: Where can I purchase the best homemade pies, cakes and baked goods? If you ever have a gathering, guests for dinner or a holiday meal and you want something baked fresh for dessert, then call Dolly’s Produce Patch & Eatery.

Fair warning to anyone thinking about a pie, cake, baked goods or dessert for a holiday feast – call ahead well in advance. If you want a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving, please don’t leave it to the last minute because there is a long list and when they have reached the limit, that’s it – no more.
Dolly’s has been a landmark along Bonita Beach Road for quite sometime and not only for their baked goods. It’s a huge favorite for breakfast and has always been on the list for best breakfast places. There aren’t many guarantees in life, but we will definitely guarantee you will not leave hungry after a breakfast at Dolly’s. The atmosphere is down home and the food will stick to your ribs.
To give you an idea of the breakfast menu, a full stack of (3) pancakes is $4.75 and one of the daily specials, The Hungry Man, is a homemade biscuit, 2 eggs, sausage & potatoes served with gravy for $6.95 (and that’s about the most expensive thing on the breakfast menu). It’s a family operation and most likely you’ll catch a glimpse of Dolly in person as well as see the photographs on the wall of her during her ballroom dancing days.
The hours for Dolly’s are Monday through Saturday from 6 in the morning to 2:30 pm in the afternoon so, it’s breakfast and lunch only. On Sunday, the hours are from 7 am to 1 pm and they only serve the breakfast menu. There is some outdoor seating along the front of the restaurant, so it is pet friendly. Just be aware the front of the restaurant faces south and gets the sun virtually all day, if you do decide to bring the dog.
By the way, the “Produce Patch” part of the restaurant’s name is because you’ll find fresh fruits and vegetables sold in front of the restaurant at the roadside stand.
The pie selection includes apple, Dutch apple, apple with cranberry & walnuts, sugarless apple, apricot, banana cream, blackberry, blueberry, buttersctoch, cherry, chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, chocolate pecan, chocolate rum, coconut cream, custard, English toffee, grasshopper, Kentucky Derby, Key lime, lemon meringue, mincemeat, peach, peanut butter, pecan, pineapple cream, pumpkin, rhubarb, raspberry, fresh strawberry, baked strawberry, triple berry and sweet potato.
Dolly’s makes cakes including German chocolate, carrot cake, orange, orange chocolate marble, rum, chocolate, spice cake, lemon, banana, coconut, pound cake, red velvet, pineapple upside down, fudge marble, and butter pecan cake.
Also available are scones and the following breads: banana nut, poppy seed, pumpkin, strawberry, zucchini and orange streusel. Muffins include blueberry, cranberry, orange blossom, corn, banana nut and lemon poppy seed.
It doesn’t stop there – there are cupcakes, brownies and assorted cookies including butter pecan, chocolate chip, macadamia, macaroons, milk chocolate toffee, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter and sugar cookies.
